WUS Austria invites exceptional students from Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia, who study law, economics, political sciences, international relations, information technologies or related disciplines to take part in the BCC 2009.

On an international level the BCC 2009 International Case Study Competition will be held between 6th of July and 11th of July 2009; the Sub-competition in Romania will be held on May 9th-10th 2009 in Bucharest.

The around 140 winners out of all the Sub-Competitions will compete in the BCC 2009 International Case Study Competition in Vienna. Prerequisite for participants to compete in the Sub-Competitions is a successful admission via an online process, following established criteria. Applications are to be submitted online until February 15, 2009.

At both competition levels students participate in one of the four academic disciplines:

- Business Case Competition
- Model European Council
- Law Moot Court
- ICT Case Competition

In addition, the Balkan Case Challenge 2009 facilitates recruitment processes during the Sub-Competitions and the BCC 2009 International Case Study Competition, where students present themselves to potential employers and representatives of international companies get the chance to recruit future staff from the region.

The Sub-Competitions consist of three parts: 1) Training modules; 2) Case Study Competition; 3) Recruitment Event

The BCC 2009 International Case Study Competition in Vienna consists of two parts: 1) The International Case Study Competition; 2) The job fair “Career Day South-Eastern Europe”.

The Balkan Case Challenge is financed by the Austrian Development Cooperation.
